From 1 June 2019, the airline Azur Air will cancel the catering service on flights. True, this unpleasant innovation will affect only flights lasting up to five hours. This is reported on the official website of the carrier.
On board, passengers will be offered only free drinks, while the changes will affect the service in economy class, the amount of meals in business class will remain the same. The carrier explained its decision by the increase in prices for jet fuel and the increase in airport taxes. Under these conditions, Azur Air considered it necessary to save on food, but to maintain the status of a low-cost airline. Such a measure would at least not increase, but with favorable economic factors and reduce the cost of tickets for short routes.
On flights longer than five hours, the carrier will continue to offer hot meals. For passengers departing from St. Petersburg, Azur Air plans to introduce the "Restaurant onboard" service in the summer. She will allow to order additional food in flight. On flights of six hours, customers of the airline can use the Azur Delish service - instead of the usual dishes, choose vegetarian or designed for children.
Azur air is one of the largest charter airlines in Russia. It operates flights from 40 cities of the country to 29 overseas tourist destinations, transporting clients of travel agencies to popular international resorts. In 2019, the carrier won the Skyway Service Award in the International Charter Transportation category.
By the way, you can use the convenient search for air tickets in all directions and you can book them at low fares. by this link!
