| July 1st, 2022 have international group for a two-day author's adventure tour "Treasures of Isan". Departure from Pattaya at 06:00, return at 21:00 the next day. A small group, 4-6 people, a new comfortable minivan for 15 seats, there will be 2-3 free seats on each bus.
The main highlight of "Treasures of Isan" program is a visit to the ancient, well-preserved city of the Angkor period - Phanom Rung. The city is located on top of an extinct volcano and for some time was the capital of ancient Khmer Empire.
"Treasures of Isan" excursion program includes a visit to the temple of precious stones - Wat Luang Pee Sam, the most famous cave of Isan region - Tham Khao Chakan, the Lalu earth break (a park with original rock formations, landscapes like on Mars). We will also see one of the most famous shrines in Thailand - the majestic temple of Wat Mahawihan.
We will spend the night in a chic boutique hotel with a swimming pool near the ancient city of Phanom Rung.
On the way back we will visit the unique historical park "Heritage of Ancient Civilization", it is located in the dense jungle and there are perfectly preserved traces of ancient civilization, namely petroglyphs that are 4000 years old, and the park itself is extraordinarily delightful with its landscapes.
Prasat Phanom Rung
Phanom Rung is ancient city of the Khmer era, perfectly preserved to this day, the pearl of Isan region. Phanom Rung was built in the 12th century and was one of the most important cities of ancient Khmer Empire outside of Angkor. For some time, during the reign of Jayavarman VII, it was the main city of ancient Khmer Empire.
The ancient city of Phanom Rung is located on top of an extinct volcano, offering beautiful views of the vast expanses of Isan. Very few tourists get here. The city of Phanom Rung is surprisingly well preserved to this day. This city can be called as one of the most impressive ancient cities in all of Southeast Asia. Phanom Rung will pleasantly surprise even those who have been to Angkor Temple Complex (Cambodia).
Park "Heritage of ancient civilization"
We will visit an absolutely fantastic-mysterious world among bizarre huge stones and rocks, in the depths of the impenetrable jungle.
On the territory of this park, which is located in a beautiful forest among picturesque rocks, there are unique rock paintings of ancient civilizations "Prehistoric Rock Paintings". The age of the drawings is up to 4000 years. One of the drawings is considered the most beautiful prehistoric depiction of people found in Thailand. It depicts a group of people dressed in leaf skirts. These are men, women and children engaged in various activities, from hunting to dancing and games. It is believed that the paintings were created by people who lived in the area about 3-4 thousand years ago. But the color never fades.
On the way to the rock paintings, you will definitely come across flocks of fluffy white large squirrels. There are a lot of them in this forest.
On this journey, we will get to know the true Isan cuisine, try unique and very tasty dishes that cannot be found in Pattaya. We learn a lot of interesting things about the culture, customs and life of the peoples inhabiting the Isan region.
