The crime was committed on 12 September 2019 in the shopping center "Central Festival" in Phuket. CCTV cameras were installed in the mall, which recorded the moment of theft and the thief, as a result of which the perpetrator was installed and 19 was arrested on September 2019. He turned out to be an 23-year-old Russian citizen, Maxim S. Maxim was arrested in a rented apartment and charged with theft.
During the interrogation, Maxim said that he acted “according to Russian concepts”, which allegedly say that the item is not locked and without a price tag - it is free and does not belong to any owner. The clock was on display, a young man grabbed it and simply ran out of the mall.
Now, instead of resting in Phuket, a Russian citizen is facing trial in the case of theft of watches and, with a high probability, training in "Thai concepts" in places unlike resort ones.
