| A terrible find in the form of a drowned baby was discovered in the area of the Balikhai pier, on Volkin Street. It was later established that his father had drowned the child.
11 March 2019 near 6 hours of the evening near the Balihai pier was found the body of a baby, which waves carried to the shore. The body was seen by the owner of the boat, which brought tourists from the island of Koh Larn. At first, the man thought it was a doll, but when he approached he was convinced that there was a corpse in the water.
The body of the child dragged ashore. The deceased was a boy 2-3 years, his left leg was tied to a pram, with which the drowned man was removed from the water.
Immediately, the police came to the conclusion that the body stayed in the sea for about two days. An investigation has begun whether the child died in an accident or whether the parents (or maybe someone else) deliberately committed the murder.
On the same night, the investigators brought in the tourist police and immigration officers at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, where they arrested a Jordanian citizen. He is suspected of having killed his son and attempted to flee outside of Thailand.
The detainee confessed to the crime. He said that he tied both of his son’s legs to the stroller and knocked her into the water at the pier in Pattaya.
The man said that he came to Thailand with his wife and child. The wife promised to look after and take care of her son. However, once in Pattaya, the woman left her father alone with the child and left for the whole night. The man experienced stress and decided to kill the child, and then flee the country.
The nationality of the mother of the child is not disclosed in the police report.
