29-year-old Russian Artem Kul'yasov was detained in his condominium in Pattaya and charged with stealing an expensive laptop and personal documents from 35-year-old Alexander Kuznetsov, also a Russian citizen.
He begged the officers not to arrest him when they came for him and stated that he was infected with HIV and would not be able to receive proper treatment in prison.
However, the officers studied the detainee’s medical history and found that the latter’s statement about HIV infection was not true.
Miste Kuliyas, who was a close friend of Alexander, decided to pay a visit to Kuznetsov 14 in December 2018 of the year at the condo on Pratumnak Hill.
Upon arrival, he discovered that Kuznetsov was not at home and carried away an expensive laptop, as well as several personal documents. The door was open...
Kuznetsov on returning home found the room robbed and that some personal belongings were missing, after which he called the police. The police, together with the victim, studied the recordings from surveillance cameras and he identified his friend in the thief.
Pattaya police opened a criminal case to punish the Russians for theft and then deport them from the country. It seems, and the friendship between the two compatriots at this end.
