| According to reports from the Ministry of Health of Thailand, currently in some regions of the Kingdom, including in the resort areas of the south of the country, there is an adverse situation associated with the spread of Dengue fever. It is an infectious disease transmitted by the bites of infected mosquitoes. Since the beginning of 2018 in the Kingdom of Thailand, about 57 has affected thousands of people with the disease, of whom more than 70 died from the severe fever. However, according to local authorities, these incidence rates only slightly exceed those of previous years, which are characteristic for this time of year. Thailand's Ministry of Health recommends that mosquitoes and other blood-sucking insects be combated: use anti-mosquito repellents and wear clothing that covers hands and feet. When the first symptoms appear (a sharp increase in body temperature to 39 degrees and above, chills, severe headache and muscle pain, pain in the bones and joints, indigestion of the stomach and intestines, skin rash), it is recommended to contact local medical institutions and not self-medicate . In most parts of Thailand, the sanitary and epidemiological situation is still calm. It is expected that with the onset of the cool dry season (from November to March), the situation with Dengue fever completely normalized.
