| On Monday, 3 September, part of Pattaya was plunged into chaos due to flooding caused by rain. Intensive precipitation was observed in the evening hours only 60 minutes, during the night light rain periodically continued. Weather Station noted about 60 millimeters of rain. This was enough for many streets to be covered with a layer of water of different depths. In the north of the city at the end of soybean Potisan, a tourist bus was stuck in a road pit. It was fenced off with barriers, but they were washed away by storm showers and the bus driver did not notice the pit. A few more cars were also damaged during the shower. In many parts of the city, storm sewers are in poor condition, for this reason intense rain often leads to flooding of the streets. At the same time, rainfall brought in the amount of 60 millimeters of precipitation is considered the average, normal phenomenon for the city. Even in the very recent past there were much more serious rains. For example, September 11 2011 precipitation overnight exceeded 200 mm, in mid-September 2015 - mm 150.
