After two hours after start from Pattaya (with one technical stop), we arrive at Khao Yoi park. Here in the caves is an unusual Buddhist temple, the entrance to which is guarded by a whole flock of monkeys. Inside is a majestic hall, if you look closely, you can see here the face of Buddha, protruding from the wall. This is a real miracle created by nature, it was not touched by people.
Acquaintance with the history of the Kingdom of Siam, we begin with a visit to Petchaburi, it is called the diamond of the Thai Kingdom. In this city there are hundreds of temples and monasteries, as well as three Royal palaces located in the vicinity of the city. The first thing we will see here is the majestic Tham Khao Luang cave, which is almost one and a half kilometers long, with huge halls and functioning Buddhist temple. This is the Royal Cave, here Rama V himself meditated. In the cave there are more 170 statues of Buddha, many were personally installed by Rama V. Here you will see the most beautiful, nature-created hall, in which the sanctuary is located and the sun's rays break through the breaches in the vault, creating an unusual effect slightly similar to the "Holy Fire".
Afterwards we will take a cable car to the top of mountain, where is located the palace of Rama IV, famous in Europe for the films "King and I", "Anna and the King". These films are not allowed to be shown in Thailand. We are like a time machine going to the 1860 year! Nothing has changed in this palace since that period. You see how kings lived ascetic in those days. The palace is surrounded by a magnificent park where you can take beautiful photos. Glassblower workplaces are located at the foot of the mountain, for a small reward they can make you unique handmade souvenirs, for example, write your name in crystal letters.
We will make the next stop in the smallest province of Thailand - Samut Songkhram. This place is extremely well known and almost certainly you have already seen it on television. At exactly noon every day here you can see an unusual phenomenon. In the city center there is a unique market, popularly known as the "Umbrella Market". This market is spread... right on the train tracks! In the midst of trade, a gong is heard and this means the train is approaching. Immediately, everything in the market is set in motion, literally within a minute, the counters collapse and the famous Samut Songkhram Express passes through the market! And in a minute, as if nothing had happened, all the counters were in place again. This train is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most dangerous train in the World. Many films are shot here. But in fact, the passage of a train through this throng does not represent a particular danger due to the low speed. Yes, and the track here recently changed. The goods near the rails are laid out in such a precise manner that before the course of the train is removed, not all of them are removed and nothing is hooked on by the running gears of the cars. However, see for yourself.
Next we will visit the city of Amphawa. It is rightly called the Venice of Thailand. Here we have lunch at the national restaurant on the river bank.
After lunch, take a trip to Wat Khung, the ancient Buddhist monastery. Here we will see a miracle of nature and Buddhism, a huge 400-year-old ficus, growing right on the walls of the chapel. Here we will try on ourselves a unique balm of power, which has been boiled by local monks from herbs and recipe has been kept secret for more than four hundred years. This balm is drunk by Muay Thai fighters before fights to increase strength and endurance. On the territory of this monastery there is a small zoo. The monks collect abandoned and wounded animals, and take care of them. Animals continue to live in the monastery. Camels, spotted deer, goats, lambs and many other living creatures await our treats. Let's do a good deed and feed the animals. And then we will go to the residence of the Bishop of Ratchaburi. We will see incredibly beautiful Catholic Cathedral of the Virgin Mary. This is a small particle of Europe in Asia.
In evening time, we return to "Venice of Siam" and make a romantic boat trip along the canals of Amphawa ancient city. We meet an unusually beautiful sunset on a wide river. When the sun sets, another miracle of nature will open in front of us - trees and shrubs growing on the banks of river will suddenly start flashing and extinguished by millions of small lights. As someone turned on the Christmas garlands on the trees. This is done by male fireflies to attract the attention of females. In the rainy season, this "fire-show" maximally active.
After delightful boat ride to the fireflies, we return to Amphawa. Walking along the local "Walking Street", then tired and satisfied we returned to Pattaya. As usual, our program ends at ten o'clock in the evening.
