Teddy Bear Museum • what is it
Recently, at the beginning of the autumn of 2013, one extraordinary museum started operating in Pattaya. As is known, Pattaya offers mostly "adult" entertainments, but just the same the Teddy Island Bears Museum relied on little visitors.
"Pattaya Teddy Island" museum is a branch of the same museum that works in South Korea. When the museum opened, the solemn ceremony took place over several days and, moreover, on a grand scale. Before the first guests were popular artists and musicians.
Today in the museum you will be able to see copyright bears, exclusively made expositions with the participation of cute plush toys. Here there are Teddy Bears in national costumes from different countries of the World, in different life situations. A specific world has been created in which the highest level is not a man, but instead a charming Teddy bear. It creates primitive civilization, it owns the achievements of the Mayan tribe, it was who cohabited side by side with dinosaurs. And that's not all, you can see the bears turned into the heroes of the most famous cartoons, television series. You will be admired not only by the variety of plush toys, but also by fantasies of those who created these halls, by the work of artists, decorators, who created amazingly bright, realistic compositions.
The museum is divided into 12 zones which are differ by their topics. In each of them performed the corresponding acoustic and light accompaniment. Interestingly, the museum has invented the most winning places so that you can take unique photographs with exhibits. To date, the Pattaya Teddy Island museum has over 1000 Teddy bears, which were designed by Korean designers, but produced in Thailand.
It is logical to assume that the "Teddy Island" museum may be interesting not only to those who came to rest in Pattaya with children, but also for collectors. Teddy bears are collectibles. And also - the attributes of high fashion. Famous fashion houses Hermes, Christian Dior, Sonia Rikiel creates clothes for Teddy bears. For example, not so long ago, one South Korean millionaire bought a Teddy bear dressed in a Louis Vuitton outfit for the sum of Euro 1200000.
The museum of bears in Pattaya is still completely new, but many thematic zones have already been created in it. It is necessary to remember that the museum is periodically refined and the collections become even larger. Families who arrived in Pattaya with children, lovers of beautiful photos, soft toys should definitely visit here. Very nice place, it is unlikely to tire you (it will take about two hours to get acquainted with the museum), will leave a pleasant impression and will give you the opportunity to take a lot of bright photos.
It can be seen that the creators of the museum had the idea to present the museum as a kind of "island" of Teddy bears, divided by subject into a number of zones. Here you go as if on a beautiful boat, which you will see at the entrance to the museum and on the deck of which you step to the ticket offices. Here you are already on the ship and pass through the magic gates, getting to the island of Teddy.
First, you see the explorer bears, passing by which you come across the first pair of settler bears.
And then there are the 12 themed areas, where Teddy bears appear in a variety of appearances and life situations. In order to visit the zone, go like this: Inca, Dinosaurs, Excavations, Africa, Thailand, Underwater World, Eskimos, Santa Claus, Space, Fairy Tales, China, Europe. In each area of the museum, a different acoustic arrangement was made, their own music was played, which was selected accordingly and the layout of each zone was different from the others. Of course, they are decorated in different ways. Very well-chosen places where you can take unique photos. It's great that all the toys you see here, including of course Teddy bears, can be touched (well, of course, provided that you will not tear them and somehow spoil them).
Further details about each zone.
First you go through the area of the Inca Indians. Here Teddy bears are piled up on temples, they pray, they bring offerings to the ancient Indian gods. There is even its own shrine with priests, a bear-tribal leader and a totem.
Immediately after you pass the totem, you will find a cave with vampire bears headed by a huge Teddy-Dracula. Dreadful winged vampires everywhere, on walls and ceilings. At that point, we leave the cave and pass right under the huge, awesome diplodocus lizard into the dinosaur zone.
And in this zone, the prehistoric Teddy bears, dressed in clothes made from the skins of mammoths, gallop through prehistoric trees and ride dinosaurs. Here it turns out to take a lot of good photos. And there is even a huge, formidable, terribly growling tyrannosaurus! As well as a three-dimensional illusion, going inside that and taking a photo, you will be captured flying into a pit with crocodiles! From the wall you will look at a large and terrible, but no less curious eye. In addition, there is a weird dark corner with a Teddy-astronaut, a Teddy-knight with plebeians.
We go round it, go through the open mouth of a dinosaur and find ourselves in the zone of real archaeological researches! Worker bears Teddy and Teddy-scientists scavenge over the fossil remains of ancient monsters. You can also take part in these excavations! Here is a special.... hmmm... sandbox. And using special archaeological brushes you dig out some kind of fossil!
And then we are waiting for a hot Africa. Here, restless bears study nature, fry their dinner on a fire (not from human flesh, they are good) frolic and play.
Following the African zone, we find ourselves in the zone of Thailand. At the entrance you will meet a beautiful couple. Everything is done in the traditional style, as well as in the Ramayana style.
After the Thai zone you are waiting for a fascinating Underwater World! With mermaid bears, diver bears and beach bears. And besides, the stunning house-shell and chair in the form of a shell-pearl oyster.
And then we go through the magic steps and get into the real Eskimo tent to visit the Teddy Eskimos! In this area of the museum specially made so that the air is cooler than in other zones. Eskimos cannot live without frost! And what a winter can be without its main character, Santa Claus! Actually, the next zone of the Teddy Museum is dedicated to him. A wonderful snow palace has been built here, and Teddy-Santa dwells in the palace.
Behind the Teddy-Santa Palace, we see the star zone of the museum, where you can meet Jedi-bears and avatars.
After the star (or space... whatever) zone you go to a real princess house. Slides, flowers, swings and lots of little bears.
After playing enough in the princess house, we will continue our journey in China! Here you will get acquainted with the clever Teddy-Bruce Lee, with the aborigines - bears in traditional Chinese pajamas. In this area, beautiful carved roofs of Chinese classical shrines. And needless to say, a huge Teddy Panda, a kind favorite of the owners of the museum!
Having walked around in China, you will find yourself in one fell swoop in Europe! And for today it is the final point of the voyage on Teddy Island.
At the exit from the museum, you will see a souvenir shop where you can buy a bear for yourself. Among them there are exactly those that you saw while traveling on Teddy Island, and if you wish, you can take a small part of the Island with you!
