"Bangkok - City of Angels" excursion
"City of Angels" is author's tour from Pattaya to Bangkok for the whole day. This excursion was created as an alternative to classical program that has existed for many years and is known to almost all tourists visiting Thailand at least once. A very advantageous difference is that the huge "Baiyoke Sky" skyscraper, with its observation platform located at an altitude of 309 meters, is visited in the evening hours and this makes it possible to see the sunset over Bangkok.
Temple complexes visited by the program also differ from those included in other programs. Excursion "City of Angels" - this is an opportunity, accompanied by an experienced guide to visit the huge neo-Buddhist temple: Wat Phra Dhammakaya.
The tour will start at a convenient time: 8:00 - 9:00 in the morning and you will have time not only to have breakfast, but also spend some time at the beach or on pool. Early departure tour does not provide. This is very happy for those who do not like to get up early. And the whole program will be accompanied by experienced guide.
Wat Phra Dhammakaya
Moving to our first sight takes about two hours. And it will be visit to the huge temple complex located in northern part of Bangkok - Wat Phra Dhammakaya temple complex. Truly a grand structure and the largest temple of Thailand! It belongs to the community of the unorthodox Buddhist widely known as Dhammakaya. Here we get to 11:00 - 11:30 and will have a whole hour at our disposal. It is quite hot and the dress code is set. Shoulders and knees should be closed.
The temple is relatively old, it began to be built in the 1970th, and some buildings were finally completed only in 2002th. With its architecture, it looks like a huge stadium or a giant space shuttle.
On the dome of temple there are 300 thousand of Buddha statues. Another 700 thousand of these statues decorate the temple inside. The dome is surrounded by a platform for meditation. There are 3000 monks and novices living in the temple. At the same time, up to 600 thousand of people can meditate on the temple grounds! In order to get inside the temple requires a very tight dress code, you also need to follow certain rules of conduct in a Buddhist shrine. The temple belongs to a fairly orthodox Buddhist community, many Thais disapprove of them and consider it a sect. But this community has many influential and rich supporters.
This unique temple is regularly visited by thousands of parishioners. There are various rituals, meditations, to which everyone is invited.
You also see other buildings of this huge-size religious place. For example, the original high-rise building, which is made in the shape of the globe.
Chao Phraya boat tour
In 12:30, we leave the "Cosmic" temple of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and head for the Nonthaburi pier. This is already a neighboring province, suburb of Bangkok. On the way from the strength of half an hour.
We make an hour-long trip on classic boat along the Chao Phraya River, which flows through the Thai capital. Will observe Bangkok from the river and admiring the beautiful views of the capital. We reach Saphan Taksin pier without traffic jams.
Maha Nakhon tower and "skywalk"
From 14:45 to 16:00, according to the tour plan we stop at "Maha Nakhon" skyscraper. We are making the ascent to the tallest residential building in Thailand, while the high-speed elevator will surprise even world-witted travelers with its modern 4D effects that imitates the flight over Thailand capital. Upstairs there are magnificent panoramic views of Bangkok, you can make impressive photos. And besides - "Maha Nakhon" tower has a balcony with a transparent floor - "skywalk". Visit to "skywalk" is included, however, it is left entirely at your discretion. But impressive... very much!
From the "Maha Nakhon" skyscraper, we take way to the "Siam Paragon" - famous shopping and entertainment center of Bangkok. Where free time will be provided. It is given in such a way that anyone can visit "Siam Ocean World" - the huge Bangkok aquarium, or Madame Tussaud wax museum. But include it is not compulsory and you can just drink coffee and even have time to shop. So, you have one hour of free time.
Baiyoke Sky tower
Towards evening, we make a very short trip to Bangkok downtown and take a high-speed elevator to the top of the recently still tallest building in Bangkok (before the previously visited "Macha Nakhon" tower was built) and one of the highest hotels in Asia! Almost all Bangkok sightseeing programs offer daytime visits to "Baiyok Sky" skyscraper. With us you will rise to the height of 309 meters in the evening and see how the sun sets over the capital. Bangkok from this point is amazingly beautiful in the evening and at night! The photos are beautiful and you can be sure that will make many! After visiting the observation deck you will find a wonderful dinner in a restaurant several floors below, overlooking the night city. We drive up to the skyscraper around 18:00 and end our visit (like the excursion program) at 20:00. Then the group takes a way back to Pattaya.
